Perhaps the most common gripe that domestic commerce entrepreneurs have is: “Information overload. I need to cut down now.” What many people do is unsubscribe to as many lists as possible. If that’s the only thing you do, well frankly that is not enough. If you want to REALLY succeed, you need ‘tunnel vision’.
Does this sound familiar? The typical ‘ordinary guy’ goes online, searches for ‘make money online’ opportunities, and then joins each one of them. Does this sound like a recipe for success? Another common one is buying thousands of dollars worth of information products but not having a commerce to show for it. I mean, how does this happen?
If you want to go into commerce for yourself, you have to supervise yourself. You have to be disciplined and focused. At a day job, somebody tells us what to do and we follow along. In business, we have no one else to blame but ourselves. That’s why I state in a day job you have to blame others to outlive but whether you want to succeed in business, you have to blame yourself.
So develop tunnel vision. Focus on one commerce plan (you do have one right?), one commerce model and one niche first. Once you have prefabricated that profitable, move on to another niche. Find a mentor whether need be but don’t depend on him or her. Learn how to think for yourself. Being ruthless about which opportunities you take up also helps.
You’ve got to develop brass knuckles whether you want to refrain the entrepreneur scrap heap.
